Time: 11:00 - 11:45Web-Beans tries to establish a richer component-model than EJB 3.1 as a standard in the Java Community Process. Originally, Web-Beans was supposed to represent an intermediate layer between EJB3.1 and JSF2.0: however, as of today, it is independent of both. From concept and functionality, it is comparable to Spring or Google Guice. We will take a short walk through the basic ideas behing web-beans, discuss how you can define beans, and how you can let these beans interact, and then compare the configuration model to other dependency injection frameworks.
